What is the Healthy Business Council of Ohio (HBCO)?
HBCO is composed of employers and individuals across the state of Ohio who have a shared interest in worksite wellness best practices and improving the holistic well-being of their employees.
The Health Action Council is a proud supporter of the Healthy Business Council of Ohio.
The History of HBCO
HBCO was initially formed to encourage Ohio businesses to promote health and wellness programming within the workplace. The Ohio Department of Health teamed up with twenty member companies—all with a proven commitment to employee wellness—to form an Executive Committee.
Today, HBCO includes representation from hundreds of employers and wellness professionals across Ohio.
Regional Meetings
HBCO has six statewide regional councils. Each regional council is composed of representatives from various Ohio companies who have a shared interest in comprehensive worksite health promotion and employee well-being.
Each region hosts various meetings and/or events to provide a platform for employers that are passionate about the health and well-being of their employees to discuss best practices, trends, innovations, compliance and more.
