The Ohio Department of Health is committed to working with Ohio businesses to promote health and wellness programming within the workplace. This mission is facilitated by the twenty (20) member companies that comprise the Executive Committee of the Healthy Business Council of Ohio (HBCO). These companies were selected based on a proven commitment to providing health and wellness programs for their employees. Council members work with other Ohio companies to encourage the creation of additional workplace wellness programs. The Healthy Business Council of Ohio and its eight statewide regional councils are a group of Ohio companies sharing best practices for a healthy workforce and a healthy economy. These companies have made a commitment to employees by incorporating comprehensive worksite health promotion and wellness programs into their worksites. Council members realize that healthy employees make a positive difference and that a positive return on investment in employee health is significant to both employer and employee. Each region meets at a variety of dates and times to provide a platform for employers that are passionate about the health and well-being of their employees to discuss best practices, trends, innovations, compliance and more. See Regional Councils Tab for regional locations, contact information, meeting date, times and locations. Meetings consist of education and best practice sharing by fellow employers.
Membership into the Healthy Business Council of Ohio is FREE. You must provide health and well-being programming to your employees in order to be accepted as a member of the HBCO.
