The Fall Step-It-Up Challenge, sponsored by Fitbit, is a free, virtual step program that will be held from October 18-31, 2020. Health Action Council welcomes a team of participants (at least two), who want to engage in some healthy competition. Best of all, you don't have to be a Health Action Council member to participate!
“Now, more than ever, it is important for our members, supporters, sponsors and community partners to engage in a friendly competition that promotes health and well being,” said Patty Starr, President and CEO of Health Action Council. “This has been a fun method of keeping people moving, active, engaged and connected.”
Participants have really enjoyed the spirit of competition, with one participant citing, “The friendly competition keeps me moving and positive through some very difficult times!"
Teams compete for bragging rights, valuable prizes, and a charitable donation to a great cause. The team with the highest number of average steps gets lunch for up to 50 people ($500 value) and a $500 donation made in their name to a school garden project or local Ronald McDonald House. The individual with the highest number of steps wins a brand new Fitbit Ionic.
Join Health Action Council for an informational webinar on Tuesday, October 6 at 11 AM EST, or if you are ready, simply register your team now! The deadline for team lead registration is Friday, October 9 and team registration is Friday, October 16. Winners will be announced on Tuesday, November 3.
