Health Action Council conducted to survey among members to determine how they plan on handling expenses related to COVID-19. The survey revealed that 64% of self-funded groups said they will cover virus-related testing expenses at 100% and 52% will cover treatment-related expenses at 100%.
Under the Families First Coronavirus Response Act and Coronavirus Aid, Relief, and Economic Security Act testing and some other expenses are required to be paid without cost sharing by plans. Health Action Council recommends that plan sponsors consult with their respective legal counsel before making any decision. Find more information HERE.
