Steven Silvaroli from Swagelok is the individual winner!
There was a flurry of active people throughout the country during Health Action Council’s Spring Step It Up Challenge. Kirtland Hall Monitors from Kirtland Local Schools won first place, achieving 615,492 average total steps. The team won a healthy lunch for their team and a donation to a local school garden project or Ronald McDonald House Charity in their name.
The competition attracted 658 participants, totaling an amazing 112,021,701 steps. Collectively, the group unlocked a $1,000 group target donation to the Centers of Wellness for Urban Women, Inc. with their valiant efforts.
“I love this challenge,” said participant, Kristen Herrick. “It has been motivating me to walk more.”
The individual winner was Steven Silvaroli from Swagelok, with 54,150 average steps, reaching an impressive 1,137,170 total steps, and won three Fitbit Charge 5’s.
Mini challenge winners, include:
- Don Czerniak, City of Toledo, winning a $10 gift card for achieving 27,930 steps in one day.
- Leanna Van Beers-Werneke, Cuyahoga Community College, winning a Fitbit Charge 4 for a Facebook post, citing, “This challenge is definitely keeping me motivated to move.”
- Pat Page, Heidelberg University, winning a Fitbit Charge 4 for a Facebook Post, quoting, “Getting my steps in with my walking partner, my 4-year-old nephew. And taking lunch time walks.”
- Nate Bishop, Gould Electronics, Inc., winning a $10 Starbucks gift card for the Hydration Challenge.
- Kristen Herrick from Ashland University, winning a Fitbit Charge 4 for achieving 14, 781 steps in a single day.
- Jenn Stone, from KHS Get Fit, winning a $10 Panera gift card for a Facebook post.
