Health Action Council Names Keynotes For 2020 In-Value-Able Conference Series

Registration is open for the 2020 IN-VALUE-ABLE Conference Series (www.in-value-able.com), the only conference dedicated to redefining healthcare and employee benefits, improving quality and driving cost savings, now and in the future. 

Presented by Health Action Council, the 2020 IN-VALUE-ABLE Conference Series consists of two events: the Annual Symposium, January 23, 2020, in Columbus and the National Conference & Expo, February 19 and 20, 2020, in Cleveland. 

What is the IN-VALUE-ABLE Conference Series?

The IN-VALUE-ABLE Conference Series is a live education and networking series designed to provide attendees with unbiased, forward-thinking, open-sourced information from nationally recognized experts across industries providing the insight and tools needed to transform current benefits programs now and in the future.  The series features thought-provoking speakers, best-practice sharing, peer-to-peer sharing, practical breakout sessions with actionable takeaways, and SHRM and HRCI continuing education credits.

The keynote speaker in Columbus is Mark T. Bertolini, a national healthcare thought leader and former chairman and CEO of Aetna Inc. Throughout his tenure at Aetna, he led the company’s transition from a traditional health insurance company to a consumer-oriented healthcare company focused on delivering holistic, integrated care in local communities.

The keynote speaker in Cleveland is Jason Silva, Emmy-nominated and world-renowned TV personality, storyteller, filmmaker and sought-after futurist. Silva’s inspirational videos, Shots of Awe, have received over 100 million views across social platforms. The videos explore topics such as futurism, technology, creativity, the science of awe, disruptive innovation, relationships, and mental health.

Other speakers include Tamara Ghandour, founder of LaunchStreet and the creator of a proprietary innovation assessment to help intrapreneurs, entrepreneurs and teams discover their innovation advantage; Jim Klein, president of the American Benefits Council, who serves on the International Foundation of Employee Benefits Plans’ Government Liaison Committee; and Heather Meade, a principal at Ernst & Young who specializes in healthcare and tax-exempt policy and advises business leaders, policymakers, trade associations, nonprofit organizations on a broad range of policy issues.

Event Details

  • The Annual Symposium will be held on January 23, 2020, at the Nationwide Hotel & Conference Center, 100 Green Meadows Drive, Columbus. It is a live, one-day interactive educational and networking event designed to present benefits professionals with the latest insights, trends, technologies, and innovations needed to improve the quality of care received, reduce costs and significantly improve employee health outcomes.  
  • ​The National Conference & Expo is February 19-20, 2020, at the Huntington Convention Center, 300 Lakeside Avenue, Cleveland. The National Conference & Expo is the premier national education and networking event for employee benefits and wellness program managers, human resource professionals, business leaders, executives, and community leaders. In addition to nationally known speakers, presentations and breakout sessions, the Conference & Expo provides multiple networking opportunities with peers, vendors and healthcare and benefits thought leaders.

Health Action Council members can attend both the Symposium and National Conference & Expo for no charge. Grants are available to cover the majority of travel costs for members attending from outside Ohio. Non-members can attend the Symposium for $330 until December 31, 2019, and the National Conference & Expo for $850 until January 11, 2020.
