Health Action Council Challenges Teams To Step It Up

Health Action Council challenges teams of all types to register for the Summer Step It Up Challenge to get fit, have fun and participate in a healthy competition.

The Step It Up Challenge is a no-cost, four-week step program that runs from June 6 to July 3. It involves teams of at least three participants, which can include any combination of employees, colleagues, customers, family and friends.

“This challenge is very popular and yields exponential benefits for companies and employees,” said Patty Starr, President & CEO of Health Action Council. “In addition to getting fit and having fun, teams can win individual or group challenges, all while getting healthier.”

Steps taken for this challenge can unlock a $400 donation to a local school garden project along with team and individual prizes. Participants should also expect to enjoy weekly mini challenges along the way!

The goals are simple:

  • Be one of the teams with the highest average total steps

  • Keep moving to reach the top of the leaderboard

  • Maintain your daily streak

  • Complete the weekly challenges

And the prizes are fitting:

  • Teams:

    • 1st Place: Receive a healthy lunch up to $350 and a $300 donation in your name to either a local school garden project or Ronald McDonald House Charities.

    • 2nd Place: Receive a healthy lunch up to $150 and a $200 donation in your name to either a local school garden project or Ronald McDonald House Charities.

    • 3rd Place: Receive Step It Up swag for your team.
