Find The Right Care Website Relaunch

Find the Right Care, a partnership with Health Action Council and Buoy Health since 2019, is offering new education, technology and site experience. In addition to upgraded graphics, the recently updated site includes faster speeds, updated additional information where and with whom to access care from, healthy kids support, heathy kids CDC vaccination charts and AAP schedules, and improved navigation and site linking.
Free to the public, the site educates users on where to access healthcare when it is needed. It gives users a personalized and more accurate view of their symptoms and recommends the appropriate location for care, such as an urgent care center, a convenient care clinic or a primary care provider. The tools help individuals make more informed decisions about where to get the care best suited for their symptoms.

“This site was launched prior to the pandemic and has been an invaluable tool for people to navigate their healthcare options by assessing symptoms and finding the right place for care, including virtual options,” said Patty Starr, President & CEO of Health Action Council. “Helping people navigate healthcare, especially now, can aid in keeping emergency room visits down, which not only helps prevent hospital overload but can also avoid unnecessary time and costs.”

Find the Right Care utilizes algorithms that analyze thousands of real-world data-points, to resemble the dynamic and nuanced experience of chatting with a doctor. A user enters symptoms and answers questions to help Buoy get a holistic view of the situation and calculates which illnesses are more likely. Buoy then shares its reasoning with the user and offers up personalized care recommendations for self-triaged care.

“Making smarter healthcare choices can help improve the speed to recovery, and save people a great deal of time and money while ensuring they get the care they need,” said Starr. “If they are not experiencing a life-threatening emergency, this technology will suggest options like a virtual visit or going to a local urgent care center. And at the same time, it will help free up critical ER resources for true emergencies.”
