The Benefits Consultant Senior must have deep subject matter expertise in health and welfare employee benefit programs; specialization in certain areas (e.g., medical, pharmacy, dental, vision, well-being, and compliance). This person will work in the Benefits Planning and Strategy department as part of a team with other consultants who contribute to strategic decisions to ensure effective innovation and product improvement to meet the needs of our diverse workforce.
In addition, the individual will properly research new initiatives as well as respond to and resolve complex employee escalations. The candidate should have experience in health or employee benefits as well as possess first-hand knowledge of compliance with federal regulations (e.g., COBRA, ERISA, and HIPAA). The ideal recruit will possess high-level communication skills for delivery of content to various levels of staff and management, and must demonstrate the cultivation of vendor partner relationships.
