Marketing Manager

Position Description: Health Action Council, is seeking an experienced Marketing Manager to drive brand strategy, messaging, and integrated communications across multiple channels. This role combines strategic planning with hands-on execution and is responsible for developing compelling content, managing marketing initiatives, supporting business growth, and ensuring a consistent brand experience.

The ideal candidate is a collaborative, detail-oriented professional with strong writing , experience leading projects and people, and a passion for delivering high-quality communications that engage audiences and strengthen organizational impact.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute marketing and communications strategies aligned with organizational goals.
  • Create and oversee content for web, email, social media, presentations, reports, and print materials.
  • Maintain brand standards and messaging consistency across all channels.
  • Manage digital marketing initiatives, including website content, email campaigns, social media, and SEO.
  • Track campaign performance and use data-driven insights to improve results.
  • Support event marketing, program communications, and stakeholder engagement.
  • Lead multiple projects simultaneously while managing timelines, vendors, and approvals.
  • Provide leadership, coaching, and direction to team members and external partners.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, or related field (or equivalent experience) required.
  • 5+ years of progressive marketing and communications experience required.
  • Exceptional writing, editing, and proofreading abilities required.
  • Strong project management, organizational, and stakeholder management skills required.
  • Experience leading teams, contractors, or vendor relationships required.
  • Knowledge of digital marketing, analytics, email marketing, social media, and website management required.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office or Google Workspace and marketing/creative tools required.
  • Healthcare, health insurance, or employee benefits experience preferred.

Additional Information

  • Occasional travel (less than 20%).
  • Standard business hours with occasional flexibility for events and deadlines.
