Large employers continue to claim a stake in offering benefits to employees – but they want to change the game from just negotiating contracts and transferring costs to employees. Employers are driving new conversations within their communities and – along with health plans and providers – are asking how we can change the delivery model of healthcare.
Employers are also taking a step back to evaluate their organizations’ health on all levels. For example, they recognize that employee health has a direct impact on financial health – and vice versa – and that employees are impacted by the health of their organization as well as external forces. The question is how to modify mindsets to best support the health of employees at work, home and play.
Health Action Council strives to provide employers with the kind of leadership that helps to answer complex questions, deal with continuous change and take advantage of the many possibilities to foster a culture of health in the workplace and allow businesses to thrive.
