Employers recognize that the health and well-being of their employees is essential to delivering on corporate objectives and commitments. The challenge is to understand their population’s unique needs and the factors that influence their health and health outcomes.
Community Influences - geographically specific issues and attributes that contribute to health challenges - affect employer key performance metrics. Gaining a clear understanding of the communities where employees live provides a wealth of information about the barriers faced in maintaining or improving their health and well-being. Increasingly, employers are seeking data and analytics to help identify community-based interventions that can deliver the greatest return on investment (ROI) to improve employees’ health.
Health Action Council recognizes that healthy communities mean healthier workforces. We actively seek opportunities to work with employers, plan sponsors, and community organizations on programs and initiatives that drive the overall cost, quality and accessibility of healthcare, and social determinants of health in communities to positively impact workplace performance and retention.
