Marketing Communications Leader

Are you a determined and friendly professional with an advanced understanding of human behavior and a desire to help employers reach their goals with a healthy workforce?  If so, you might be a great fit for our organization.  We are looking for a self-starting and talented Marketing Leader to support membership and program growth and improve client retention. The Marketing Leader will also produce high-quality content that engages customers and builds brand recognition. The ideal candidate for this position has a positive attitude, a tireless work ethic and is strategic. 

Position Location: Company headquarters in Cleveland, Ohio

General Responsibilities: 

  • Brainstorm fresh strategies and communicate with senior management about marketing initiatives and project metrics
  • Creates company literature and other forms of communications
  • Creates marketing and promotional materials, electronic and print
  • Generates copy, edits, proofreads and revises communications
  • Designs and launches marketing campaigns
  • Recommends, implements and maintains website design and operation
  • Develops projects relating to search engine optimization, website updates, social media and email automation
  • Identify weaknesses in existing marketing campaigns and develop pragmatic solutions 
  • Oversees the compliance, review and updating of the organizations style guide
  • Creating and implementing plans to support sales and increase market share
  • Conducts market research
  • Develops and oversees market data analysis and evaluation
  • Collaborates with cross-functional teams to produce effective promotional materials
  • Coordinates with and manages agency, PR partners and other vendors
  • Creates marketing presentations and speeches
  • Obtains necessary consent and provides final approval on all marketing collateral, products and promotions
  • Develops schedules and maintains deadlines
  • Promotes products and services through public relations initiatives
  • Creates thought leadership materials
  • Creates and delivers press releases, media relations content, case studies, white papers, executive bios, corporate newsletter content, social media content, and speaking proposals
  • Identifies, develops and executes communications strategy for key media contacts 
  • Develops fresh story ideas
  • Prepares staff briefing materials
  • Raise funds for our cause and regularly meet or surpass fundraising targets
  • Research potential donors to gain insight into needs, beliefs and donation habits to understand how to position our organization to them
  • Assist in brainstorming and creating new methods to raise funds for our organization
  • Leverage technology and social media where possible to improve fundraising activities
  • Create marketing materials, like flyers and brochures, to be used for the promotion of events and other fundraising pushes

Qualifications: 

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business Administration, Communications, Journalism, Public Relations or related field 
  • 5+ years in marketing and promotion
  • 3+ years with health care, health insurance, or employee benefits 
  • Exceptional writing and editing skills
  • Proven experience creating targeted content
  • Exemplary verbal and written communication and decision-making skills
  • Strong leadership skills
  • Familiarity with online content marketing and social media development strategies
  • Excellent organization skills and attention to detail
  • Energetic, flexible, collaborative, and proactive; a team leader who can positively and productively impact both strategic and tactical marketing communications
  • Exceptional written, oral, interpersonal, and presentation skills and the ability to effectively interface with individuals at all levels internally and externally
