Corporate Benefits Administration Education Leader

The energetic, creative, organized and dependable Education Leader plays a key role in the development, execution and evaluation of all Health Action Council Education Programs and supports the implementation of strategies for program growth. 

The Education Leader is a resource to our internal team and membership with the ability to research a topic and national vs local trends, manage a complex, multifaceted education program and develop and maintain relationships with national industry experts. 

The Education Leader must ensure high quality, relevant programming and a first-class experience is delivered during each interaction.  The leader is passionate about health and education programming.  

General Responsibilities:

  • Plan, manage and execute all in person and hybrid events including, but not limited to, IN-VALUE-ABLE Conference series, Golf Outing, and Member Share and Compares.

  • Facilitate ongoing education programming including all webinars

  • Research potential opportunities, qualify prospective experts, and collaborate in the determination of programming needs

  • Conduct research to identify and validate opportunities, trends, best practices and member and stakeholder needs

  • Conceptualize, develop, manage, deliver, and evaluate a wide variety of educational programs and related materials that align with member needs, the organization’s mission and goals, complies with relevant legislature and professional standards

  • Develop and execute a dynamic education calendar that will bring a high degree of value to HAC members, stakeholders and the broader community

  • Schedules, educates and maintains communication with speakers

  • Creates evaluation tools for all conference series speaker submissions to gain feedback from members to ensure timely and appropriate content development

  • Researches and verifies the factual content of materials and programming

  • Supports the scheduling of special events

  • Coordinate and monitor event timelines

  • Design and development various program evaluation tools to continually assess content and outcomes

  • Determine education programming objectives 

  • Prepare a variety of materials and programs for events

  • Write program information for dissemination through Marketing and the staff

  • Ensure education programming is filed with and approved by applicable governing bodies 

  • Work with marketing to promote educational programs and services

  • Writes, edits and updates copy for the event system and page, fact sheets, website content, Newsletter, and/or presentations

  • Evaluate and prioritize internal and external requests; resolve issues as needed

  • Generate and prepare reports, reviewing for gaps/issues and making recommendations for improvements

  • Gather and analyze data and provide input or observations and interpret results based on such data, as requested

  • Cultivate, develop, and maintain relationships with industry experts and leaders on the local and national level 

  • Research, define, develop and create decision support tools and/or Insight articles (minimum 4 per year)

  • Research, track, compile, measure and communicate relevant data

  • Support marketing and communications with applicable topics, trends, research, articles and original content

  • Continuously review feedback, survey data and industry trends to ensure the accuracy and currency of data

  • Support the continued expansion, breadth and depth of education offerings across audiences

  • Document processes and procedures and communicate as appropriate

  • Assist with other projects/duties as seen appropriate

  • Organizes content to compile, write and develop the organization’s annual report

  • Creates and analyzes the annual member survey to ensure the organization remains focused on member’s needs

  • Apply for all continuing education credits including but not limited to SHM, HRCI, and ODI.

  • Maintain and update all event registrations inside the company’s CRM

  • Ensure all webinars and recordings are maintained in the member center of the company’s website

Desired Skills:

  • Demonstrated knowledge of education theory and practice, especially current trends in interactive learning technologies, project-based learning, Visual Thinking Strategies, etc.

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to work effectively with a wide range of constituencies 

  • Ability to draw conclusions and make recommendations based on research data and findings.

  • Demonstrated project management and evaluation experience. Ability to balance multiple priorities 

  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team 

  • High level of computer literacy including, MS Office Suite 

  • Use of CRM and database systems. Experience with Linvio and Salesforce a plus 

  • Able to meet deadlines and ensure completion of projects on schedule 

  • Ability to conduct meaningful program evaluations, interpret data, and communicate results 

  • Extremely organized, reliable, accurate, and detail-oriented 

  • Integrity, honesty, good judgement. Respect and discretion in communications with others 

  • Outstanding written and oral communication skills 

  • Ability to balance multiple priorities

  • Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. 

  • Performs a variety of complicated tasks. 

  • A wide degree of creativity.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree required

  • Three or more years professional experience

  • Program planning and implementation skills.

  • Knowledge of communication principles, media, and marketing techniques.

  • Skill in organizing resources and establishing priorities.

  • The ideal candidate has experience managing complex, multifaceted education programs, developing and leading education programs, supporting collaboration and is passionate about health and its education programs.
