Healthy Worksite Awards

Healthy Worksite Awards

The Healthy Worksite Award program annually recognizes Ohio employers that have demonstrated a commitment to their employees’ health by providing comprehensive worksite health p romotion and wellness programs. The awards acknowledge efforts made to improve overall employee health, enhance productivity and ensure a healthy work environment.

All worksites, regardless of size or status are encouraged to apply for the Healthy Worksite Award. Members of the Healthy Business Council of Ohio's Executive Committee evaluate the applications and select employers from three size categories to award Gold, Silver or Bronze levels of achievement.

2020 Awards Application

The 2020 Healthy Worksite Award application is now open!

All worksites, regardless of size or status, are encouraged to apply for this designation program to celebrate their efforts in promoting employee wellbeing.

Need a PDF of the award terms and all the questions before applying? Worksites are encouraged to utilize our 2020 Award Application (pdf) preparation document ahead of completing the online application.

Exciting updates have been made to the Award in 2020:

  • Addition of a “Pandemic Response” section: This optional section will be scored as bonus points and is offered to those worksites who had to adapt programming in 2020 due to COVID-19.
  • Ohio Department of Health Report Card: New questions about cancer screenings have been added. Every worksite that provides positive responses to these questions will be given a special designation from the Ohio Department of Health in addition to their overall Healthy Worksite Award score.
  • Addition of Platinum recognition!
  • 2019 benchmarking document of aggregate responses. Similar documents will be established each year and award recipients are encouraged to leverage that data to continue to advance their worksite’s wellbeing efforts.

Award recipients will be recognized in January at our annual Awards Ceremony in collaboration with the Health Action Council.

The award application is now open and will remain open until 11:59p.m. on October 31, 2020. Applicants will be notified of their award status in December, ahead of our January Awards Ceremony.

Questions can be directed to your Regional Contact or the Healthy Worksite Awards Committee, ATTN: Annie Laurie Cadmus, [email protected].
