Over the past several years there has been a strong push to return to the essence of healthcare, to focus first on primary care. This allows a comprehensive look at patients leading to better outcomes. But where does the workforce go for this type of care? Traditionally a doctor’s office during traditional business hours during the traditional work week. But patients have demanded more. In this two part series we are exploring four “outside the box” ways people are receiving this care. The second webinar in this series will focus on “concierge” care and virtual care. Concierge medicine is a model that offers on-demand care 24/7 with care coordination allowing for longer and more in-depth visits. There are little to know wait times for appointments, in waiting rooms or exam rooms. Virtual care has seen a meteoric rise over the past few years but now is undergoing a reexamination of its value, ability to accurately diagnose and other regulatory and industry barriers.
