Annual Conference Cleveland

February 15 & 16, 2017

Learning • Evaluating • Leading

Join us for a day and a half of learning and networking

Welcome to Health Action Council's annual premier educational and networking event. We have worked with our employer members throughout the year to design and deliver insightful educational programming that addresses the interests, needs and concerns of mid-size and large employers. The conference features nationally known speakers, multiple plenary presentations and concurrent breakout sessions for employers and other key stakeholders in the health benefits industry.

Conference topics balance best practices and day-to-day solutions with insights into the trends, technologies and innovations that are changing the face of healthcare and employee benefits. Our speakers have unique and thought-provoking points of view along with substantive, objective content that will help conference attendees learn, evaluate and then lead with their newly acquired knowledge. The conference also provides multiple opportunities to network with peers, vendors and others with an interest in healthcare and benefits.

Who should attend?

  • Managers and administrators of employee benefits and wellness programs who want to reduce costs, stay compliant and get ahead of the curve.
  • Human resource professionals who want to manage total rewards and provide an enriching, fulfilling work experience.
  • Business leaders seeking insights into healthcare trends and innovation.
  • Executives who are exploring the connection of business and health and the relationship between workforce resilience and customer care.
  • Community leaders who want to learn what businesses are doing -- and considering -- to ensure employee wellbeing.
  • Two SHRM and two HRCI credits have been approved for individuals who attend the half-day session on February 15th; seven SHRM and seven HRCI credits have been approved for attending the full-day session on February 16th.

Keynote Speaker

Zubin Damania

MD, aka ZDoggMD

Dr. Damania, aka ZDoggMD, is an internist and founder of Turntable Health, an innovative healthcare startup that is part of an ambitious Las Vegas urban revitalization movement.

During his 10-year hospitalist career at Stanford, Dr. Damania received the Russell Lee Award for Clinical Teaching while simultaneously maintaining a shadow career performing stand-up comedy for medical audiences worldwide. His videos, created under his pseudonym ZDoggMD, have amassed millions of views, focusing on educating patients and providers alike while mercilessly satirizing our dysfunctional healthcare system.

In Las Vegas, Zubin has made the leap from satire to actionable change by developing Turntable Health, a membership model team-based primary care ecosystem that is a ground-up effort to get healthcare right...for everyone. Zubin has been featured in Forbes as well as in the Morgan Spurlock Documentary, The Downtown Project, about the revitalization of downtown Las Vegas.
